Still Not On the Chart

We visited the pediatrician today for Aeris's 12-mo. check-up. Though she eats anything I offer, she still hasn't made it onto the weight percentile chart.

Her stats are as follows:
weight: 15 lbs. 4 oz.
height: 28 1/2 in., 27th percentile

She has highly developed problem solving and fine mtor skills. An occupational therapist is coming out twice a month to help develop her gross motor skills since she doesn't get up on her legs at all yet.

I love Occupational Therapists! They have such a wealth of knowledge- and then after she starts walking, you'll lose your baby! Can't she just stay little forever? Oh, well, I guess you can't do that... and she is SO petite! 15 pounds!?! She takes after you....

Don't worry about the weight, please. You can tell if she is not reaching milestones properly. She is small but looks healthy. My boys were off the charts from 9 months until 3 years. After tests and intensive worry, they ended up being fine... just little.

Wow, she is a little peanut! I have another friend who's got one about the same size, just a month behind Aeris in age. Katie is only around 18 pounds - I'll see for sure when I take her for her well child check next week. I'm interested to hear what the OT thinks.

I definitely understand what it's like to have a little peanut. They can't stay small forever, but ours are trying aren't they? I'm glad she eats for you. Lots of love to you all.
