What were they thinking?

We were pretty certain that some of our trees were dead. When their lack of leaves this spring proved it certain, we decided to dig them out. One came out easily yesterday, so I tackled another one this morning. Instead of cutting roots I found myself trying to cut a thick wire cage surrounding the roots. Our yard was finished by a professional landscaper. Why wouldn't they remove the cage before planting it? Poor tree. I wonder if the rest of our trees have cages under them.

Goin' Manly

After years of wearing a wedding band that was too small for his finger, and a permanent indention in his skin where the ring was sitting, we decided it was time for a change. Nate said he wanted to feel manly so instead of going with the traditional choices of sliver, gold, and platinum, he went with the most manly of manly metals they make. Titanium. He chose a black titanium ring with sliver titatium rings cut into the side. He was very happy and felt like a man when he was leaving the store. Me personally, I think he should have just lost weight until the old ring fit, because now our rings don't match anymore.
