Gracias

We spent 5 fabulous days in Cancun, Mexico last weekend. I could write pages upon pages about how georgous this place is. I could go on and on about how relaxing it was to leave the kids in the capable care of their grandparents so we could remember what it's like to spend time, REAL time, with just each other as company. However, since my words would never do it justice anyway, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Nate is an amazing photographer, and he captured it beautifully! Our view from the 10th floor balcony of our room at the JW Marriott.Nighttime view from our balcony.

When we returned from dinner on our first night there we were greeted with a rose petaled walk into our room leading to a hot bubble bath and this cute decoration on the bed.

The pool was heaven! We spent a LOT of time there everyday.

We took a day trip to Coba and stopped along the way at this Mayan village. This is me helping to make a Magic Hammock. "Go to bed two, wake up three," our guide told us.

Here we are at the top of the 2nd tallest Mayan pyramid in the world. The tallest is in Peru. They added a new layer every 52 years. It is 7 layers tall, so it took them 364 years to build. It is the only Mayan pyramid in Mexico that you can still climb. They will be closing it to climbing next year, so we're glad we didn't miss the chance.

Another Mayan pyramid in Coba.

We swam in this grand cenote just outside of Coba. The water was crystal clear all the way to the bottom.

We'll ABSOLUTELY be going back sometime soon.
